Chelsea Transfer: Blues keen on La Liga star, Tuchel eyeing Paulo Dybala

Real Madrid considering summer swoop for Paulo Dybala

Gimenez interest

Chelsea have been linked with a move for the Atletico Madrid defender Jose Maria Gimenez.

Thomas Tuchel wants to improve his defensive options in the summer, and Gimenez could prove to be a quality signing for the Blues.

He has already established himself as one of the best defenders in the Spanish League, and he could partner the likes of Rudiger and Thiago Silva at the back next season.

The likes of Kurt Zouma and Andreas Christensen have been inconsistent so far, and Cesar Azpilicueta is past his peak.

Signing a talented young defender should be a top priority for Chelsea this summer, and Gimenez certainly fits the bill.

Apparently, he is not the only La Liga defender Chelsea are looking at.

Sevilla star Jules Kounde is thought to be on the Premier League’s side’s wishlist as well.

It will be interesting to see where they end up.

Dybala pursuit

Meanwhile, the Blues are looking to compete with Manchester United for the services of Juventus forward Paulo Dybala.

The Argentine is yet to commit his long term future to the Italian club, and Chelsea could certainly use someone like him next season.

The likes of Timo Werner have failed to live up to the expectations at Stamford Bridge, and Dybala would be an upgrade on the German.

Olivier Giroud is past his peak, and Tammy Abraham has not managed to win the trust of his manager so far.

Signing a quality forward could help Chelsea immensely next season.
