Chelsea Update: Pulisic to fight for his future, Blues could profit if the duo are sold

Pulisic to fight for his future

Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic has dropped down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge this season and he has hardly played under Frank Lampard or Thomas Tuchel.

The American International has been linked with a move away from the Blues but it is believed that the player is looking to fight for his place at the London club.

Pulisic was outstanding for Chelsea last season and he has a massive future ahead of him. Chelsea should look to give him more chances and it would be a mistake if they let him leave this summer.

Chelsea have been in this situation with the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Mohamed Salah and Kevin de Bruyne. All three players were sold too soon and they have developed into world-class players at other clubs now.

Timo Werner and Kai Havertz valuations

Meanwhile, the Blues spent around £133 million on the signings of Kai Havertz and Timo Werner last summer.

However, the German duo have failed to live up to the expectations so far.

According to CIES football observatory, the German players are valued at £233 million and therefore Chelsea would make a £100 million profit on them if they decided to sell the two players in the near future.

The CIES algorithm determines the value of footballers based on their age, talent and form.

Although the valuations are subjective, it is clear that both Werner and Havertz are extremely talented and very young. They have a lot of time to fulfil their potential and justify their price tag. It is unlikely that their values will drop massively anytime soon.
