PSG ace Neymar renews contract until 2025, Mbappe’s future uncertain

Neymar-PSG

The Brazilian has put pen to paper on a new four-year deal.

PSG ace Neymar has reportedly agreed to a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2025, and the announcement is set to be made on Saturday.

The Brazilian was on course to sign a new long-term deal with Les Parisiens. He stated his desire to continue with the Ligue 1 champions after the win against Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals.

However, the rumours linking Neymar with a return to Barca came out of nowhere, and it only grew after PSG’s Champions League exit from the hands of Manchester City in the semi-finals.

As it turns out now, the 29-year-old has committed his future to Paris-Saint Germain for five more years.

PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino would be a happy man as Neymar’s presence will help the Argentine gaffer continue chasing European dreams in the coming years.

Nonetheless, Kylian Mbappe is facing an uncertain future at Parc des Princes as PSG are still in talks over a contract extension.

The French World cup winner’s current deal expires in the summer of 2022, with Real Madrid looking keen on his signature.

Perhaps, Real are planning to have the 22-year-old this summer or even by the end of the next season, when he will become a free agent if he opts against signing a new deal.

Mbappe has been PSG’s dominant force alongside Neymar over the past few seasons, and his absence would be difficult to cope with.

Les Parisiens have made Barcelona ace Lionel Messi a top target for the summer, with his contract at the Nou Camp expiring this summer.

Although PSG are said to have presented a lucrative offer for the Argentine, Barca are optimistic that their skipper will be in Catalonia for two more seasons.
