Real Madrid Update: Gareth Bale’s expensive demand, Varane future decision

Gareth Bale-Tottenham Hotspur

Gareth Bale is currently on loan at Tottenham Hotspur and it will be interesting to see if the Premier League side decide to sign him on a permanent deal at the end of this season.

The Welshman was in red hot form against Burnley in the last game and if he continues to perform at this level, the London club might just decide to make his move permanent.

However, Bale would still demand that the Spanish giants honour his mega salary even if he leaves this summer.

Apparently, Real Madrid are currently splitting his £600,000-a-week salary with Tottenham and the 31-year-old will have 12 months left on his contract by this summer.

Even if the player joins Tottenham permanently he will not take a pay cut and Real Madrid will have to continue to compensate his wages for another year.

Varane to Manchester United?

Meanwhile, the Spanish outfit are now prepared to sell Raphael Varane to Manchester United.

According to reports, the Frenchman is expected to reject the offer of a new contract and Real Madrid cannot afford to let him leave on a free transfer next year.

Manchester United are keen on improving their defensive unit and Varane would be a sensational signing for them.

It will be interesting to see if the Red Devils can agree on a fee with Los Blancos this summer.

Varane would be a huge upgrade on the likes of Maguire and Lindelof if he moves to Old Trafford.
