Tottenham star Son Heung-Min ready to snub interest from Real Madrid and sign a new deal

Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung-Min is close to signing a new deal with the club.

The 28-year-old is one of the best players at the club and it is no surprise that the Premier League outfit are looking to tie him down to a long term deal.

He has been linked with a move away from England with the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich reportedly keen on signing him.

The Spurs fans will be delighted to see that the South Korean international is choosing stay at the London club despite the interest from the two European heavyweights.

The 28-year-old has been outstanding in the Premier League since joining the London club and he deserves to challenge for the major trophies every year. However, Tottenham have not been able to provide him with that platform so far.

Son is yet to win something meaningful with the London club and it will be interesting to see if he decides to move on in future if the Londoners struggle to match up to the likes of Manchester City next season.

Son has had quite a few heart breaks with Tottenham recently. He lost the Champions League final against Liverpool in 2019 and the League Cup final against Manchester City earlier this month.

His teammate Harry Kane has been heavily linked with a move away from Spurs as well and it will be interesting to see if the Premier League side can hold on to the England international beyond this season.

Son has scored 15 goals in the Premier League so far and he will be crucial to Tottenham’s ambitions in the near future.

Son Heung-min is close to signing a new Tottenham contract which will run beyond 2023. The contract has been on the table since September. [Daily Mail]
