Aubameyang-Arsenal

Arsenal picked up a 2-0 win over Newcastle United in the third round of the FA Cup tonight.

The Gunners have been in mediocre form this season and they will be delighted with the win tonight.

Emile Smith Rowe scored the opening goal of the game in extra time and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang wrapped up the scoring three minutes from time.

Arsenal are now in the fourth round of the competition and they will be hoping to go all the way this year.

The Gunners have an impressive record in the FA Cup and they will fancy their chances of winning a domestic Cup this season.

Arsenal are currently 11th in the Premier League table and the FA Cup is their best chance of winning silverware this season.

Meanwhile, Newcastle United will be disappointed to have crashed to a defeat tonight especially after their impressive defensive performance throughout the 90 minutes.

The magpies managed to contain Arsenal throughout the game but they succumbed to a 2-0  defeat in extra time.

There were plenty of positives for Steve Bruce’s side tonight and it will be interesting to see if Newcastle United can build on this and put together an impressive run of results in the Premier League now.

As for Arsenal, they will be expected to qualify for the Champions League and it remains to be seen if Arteta can transform his team’s form and climb up the table in the coming months.
