Atletico Madrid were comfortably beaten by Bayern Munich in the Champions League during the mid week and they will be delighted to have bounced back with a solid win here.
Today’s win leaves the home side second in the table with eleven points from five games.
Real Madrid are two points clear at the top of the table having played one more game and Atletico Madrid will fancy their chances of climbing to the top of the table by winning their next game now.
Diego Simeone will be hoping to challenge for the League title this year and his team have started the season reasonably well.
The Spanish outfit will now look to improve their performances in the European games now and it will be interesting to see how they perform in their upcoming matches.
As for Real Betis, they are 10th in the table with nine points from 7 games. They have also lost four of their last five League games and they will be under pressure to improve.
It will be interesting to see if the away side can turn around their mediocre form with a win in the next game.
