The attacking duo were on target in the comprehensive win against the newcomers.

Bayern Munich have claimed all three points after the 4-1 against Arminia Bielefeld, with Thomas Muller and Robert Lewandowski scoring two goals apiece.

Muller scored the first goal while the assist came from Lewandowski. The Polish striker dropped deeper to lay off a pass in the path of Muller.

Lewandowski doubled the lead at the 25th minute after a thunderous strike to bury the nets. Leon Goretzka assisted the goal.

The hosts had a great chance in the first half to make their mark but a brilliant defending from David Alaba prevented it.

Lewandowski found his second of the night in the added minutes of the first half as his shot took a deflection before racing to the nets. The 32-year-old also set up Muller’s goal later, thus making two assists for the night.

Arminia, who were kept at bay throughout, showed some response after Ritsu Doen scored a goal on the counter.

Bayern managed a hard-fought win against Hertha Berlin before the international break and now this outing against Arminia was way more comprehensive.

The Lewandowski-Muller connection continues to bore fruit for Hansi Flick as the duo continues to be the defender’s nightmare in the Bundesliga.

Lewandowski has already scored seven goals in four league games this season and he will try to give his everything to win the Golden Boot this time around.

The Bavarians will face Atletico Madrid in the Champions League next week.
