The Bavarians are working on the contract extensions of Kingsley Coman and Leon Goretzka.

Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn remains optimistic over the new deals for Kingsley Coman and Leon Gortezka.

Coman and Goretzka have been crucial to the Bavarians’ success over the last few seasons, and the club wants to tie the duo to a new contract.

Kahn said: “We are in contract talks with Leon Goretzka or Kingsley Coman. Top players want to be paid accordingly. We’re not naive about that. We’re in very, very good talks and I’m very optimistic. We at FC Bayern have a great package to offer. Here you can help shape an era. We have absolute professionals at all levels.”

Goretzka joined Bayern from Schalke in 2018 and has since been a key cog in the midfield.

However, the 26-year-old has been linked with Premier League giants in recent weeks, causing doubts over his future at Allianz Arena.

Nonetheless, new manager Julian Nagelsmann has recently stated that he sees Gortezka as integral to his plans.

“Leon is an important player for us. I would be happy to work with him for many years,”

“I think very highly of him. He is one of the most dangerous midfielders in the world. Everyone likes to have him in their team.”

The situation is the same as Kingsley Coman, who is said to be on the transfer wishlist of European heavyweights like Real Madrid, Chelsea, Man Utd and Liverpool.

It has also been reported that the French winger’s agent Pini Zahavi is on the lookout for new suitors.

It remains to be seen whether Bayern can convince both Coman and Gortezka to sign a new deal.
