David Alaba could be on his way out of Bayern Munich

David Alaba is all set to leave Bayern Munich after the German outfit withdrew their contract offer.

The 28-year-old will be a free agent at the end of this season and it will be interesting to see if he decides to move on when the transfer window opens in January.

The versatile star can play as a left-back or a centre back. He can play in the midfield as well.

Whoever manages to sign Alaba will end up with a top-class player on a bargain.

Ideally, Bayern Munich would have wanted to hold onto him for longer but it seems that the player is not keen on an extension on their terms.

Apparently, the German side set a deadline of 31st October to reach an agreement with the defender’s agent but the player’s camp decided that the club’s offer was not acceptable.

A move to the Premier League might be ideal for the Austrian at this stage of his career.

Premier League side Liverpool could use some defensive depth in their side after the injury to Virgil van Dijk and Alaba wouldn’t be a bad signing for them.

The Bayern Munich star has been linked with a move to Anfield recently and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.

He has the experience and the mentality to succeed in the Premier League and he could be the ideal addition to the Liverpool defence in January.
