Dortmund go level on points at the top after 2-0 win over Arminia

Mats Hummels-Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund picked up a 2-0 win over Arminia in the German League earlier today.

Mats Hummels scored both goals in the second half to secure all three points for Dortmund.

The German outfit are now level on points with Bayern Munich at the top of the table and they will be hoping to go all the way and win the title this season.

Dortmund certainly have the talent to challenge the German champions and it will be interesting to see if they can remain consistent this season.

The likes of Sancho, Haaland, Reus are all top class players and it remains to be seen if they can guide Dortmund to a League title. They have not won the title since Klopp’s departure and they will be desperate for domestic glory this year.

Bayern Munich are undoubtedly the best team in the League and Dortmund will have to improve a lot in order to match up to them throughout the season.

It will be interesting to see how they perform once the schedule becomes more congested in the coming months.

As for Arminia, today’s defeat leaves them 14th in the table with just four points from six games. They will have to improve immensely if they want to stay up this season.
