Hans-Dieter Flick: Bayern’s development has been crazy

Hans-Dieter Flick - Bayern's development has been crazy

The Bavarians’ manager has heaped praises on his players following UCL success.

Bayern Munich have defeated PSG to lift the Champions League title.

Kingsley Coman scored the only goal of the game, which eventually left Les Parisiens in tatters.

Following the win, Bayern manager Hans-Dieter Flick was in full praise for his team and hailed the development since he came in.

Flick said, “I am proud of the team. When I saw the headlines in November, all I read was that nobody is afraid of Bayern anymore,” said Flick, who took charge when Niko Kovac was sacked.

“The development since then has been crazy.”

Flick came in as a makeshift replacement for Niko Kovac but had been a revelation, leading his side to continental treble after 7 years.

Bayern under Flick has been a side to reckon with, winning a string of games and suffered only two defeats. The Bundesliga Champions produced a stunning 8-2 win against Barcelona in the quarter-finals of UCL.

Robert Lewandowski has had a stellar campaign, which saw him finish as the top scorer in Bundesliga and Champions League.

Manual Neuer, Bayern’s skipper, was on target last night as he made some crucial saves, denying the efforts of Neymar & co. Neuer’s performance also didn’t prevent Neuer from getting praised by PSG manager Thomas Tuchel.

The German No.1 said, “The joy was huge – that was what we deserved and what we wished for. It was really hard work.”
