Chelsea identify three candidates to replace Frank Lampard

Chelsea boss Lampard slams referee Taylor and VAR decisions

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is under immense pressure after his side’s poor run of form in the Premier League this season.

The Blues slipped to a 2-0 defeat against Leicester City last night and they are now down to 8th in the League table.

Chelsea spent around £220 million during the summer transfer window and they were expected to challenge for the Premier League title this year. Instead, they are struggling to break into the top four and qualify for the Champions League.

It seems that Frank Lampard’s job is under threat right now and reports claim that Chelsea are eyeing up moves for Thomas Tuchel, Julian Nagelsmann and Ralf Rangnick as potential replacements for Lampard.

Bringing in someone like Thomas Tuchel would be a superb appointment for the Blues. The German is out of a job right now after being sacked by Paris Saint Germain and he would be an inexpensive appointment.

He is an impressive attacking coach and he could get the best out of Timo Werner and Kai Havertz.

Similarly, Julian Nagelsmann is one of the most exciting young managers in European football right now and he could prove to be a superb long term appointment as well.

It will be interesting to see who ends up replacing Frank Lampard at Stamford Bridge this season.

Chelsea need to qualify for the Champions League this season and they will have to make a decision that can turn their season around as soon as possible.
