The Everton striker has bagged September’s PFL player of the month award

Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin has bagged the PFL player of the month award.

The English striker has been off to a dream start this season, finding the nets consistently for his side.

In the last three league games, Calvert-Lewin has scored five goals including a hat-trick against West Ham.

He has also beaten the likes of Harry Kane, Mohamed Salah and his team-mate James Rodriguez to win the award.

Calvert-Lewin is also one of the reasons behind Everton sitting at the top of the Premier League without facing a single defeat.

Adding icing on the cake, the 23-year-old was also called up for the Three Lions national team due to his rich vein of form.

The Toffees striker didn’t disappoint on his international duty as he scored his maiden goal in the 3-0 win against Wales.

After the win, England manager Gareth Southgate also heaped praises on Calvert-Lewin’s debut, stating he is becoming another level of player.

Southgate said,

“I thought he could be really pleased. I think he is in a really good vein of form. He’s an all-round centre forward. I’ve always liked his general play but it’s the goals that are making him another level of player.”

Meanwhile, Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti has been named as the manager of the month after his impressive results in recent weeks.

James Rodriguez has also taken the Premier League by storm as the former Real Madrid star has racked up three goals and two assists so far this season.
