Gladbach striker Alassane Plea linked to Manchester United

Gladbach striker Alassane Plea is linked to Manchester United

Manchester United have been linked with a move for the Borussia Moenchengladbach striker Alassane Plea.

As per reports via Express, the Red Devils have now made contact regarding the 27-year-old’s availability. It will be interesting to see if they submit an offer for the forward anytime soon.

Plea has been very impressive for the German outfit this season and he could prove to be a good signing for the Red Devils.

The former Nice ace can play anywhere across the front three and his arrival would give Solskjaer more options to work with. Furthermore, United need more goalscorers in their side and they cannot afford to rely on Rashford solely.

The Red Devils signed Ighalo on loan in January and it helped them massively. The former Watford ace is likely to depart this summer and United will need another forward.

Plea seems like an ideal fit for them. He has 8 goals and 7 assists to his name so far this season and he could be a very good backup for Rashford and Martial.

Gladbach paid around €25m for the player and he has a long term contract at the club. Plea won’t come cheap and United will have to pay good money to convince the Bundesliga outfit to sell him.

The Red Devils must look to improve their attacking options in order to bridge the gap with Liverpool and Manchester City next season.

It will be interesting to see if they can bring Plea to Old Trafford in the coming months.

The report adds that Tottenham and Arsenal are keen on the player as well and United will have to move quickly to fend off the competition.
