Barcelona are determined to offload the French international forward Antoine Griezmann this summer, and they are now plotting a sensational swap deal involving Paulo Dybala.

Griezmann was recently linked with a move to Atletico Madrid. The swap deal involving Saul Niguez seems to have collapsed now, and Barcelona are now hoping to agree on a deal with Juventus that will see the two forwards exchange clubs.

Griezmann is one of Barcelona’s highest earners after he secured his move to the Catalan club. The Spanish club are under financial duress right now. Again, they will have to reduce their wage bill to comply with La Liga‘s salary cap.

Barcelona could not secure a new Lionel Messi contract for a long time because of their financial difficulties. The La Liga salary cap forces the Spanish giants to rejig their squad and put many fringe players in the market before they can award the contract to their summer signings.

Griezmann has not been at his best since his move to the Catalan club, and he has scored just 35 goals since his big-money move from Atletico Madrid two years back. Furthermore, the World Cup winner has won just a domestic cup with the Spanish outfit, and he was expected to guide them to Champions League titles and Spanish league titles.

For Juventus, they have to inflate their wage bill with the French star, which they will not be agree during this time. Griezmann is unlikely to accept reduced wages during the remaining period of his Barca contract.

Meanwhile, Paulo Dybala has been linked with a move to Barcelona in the past, and he could prove to be a quality addition to their attack.

It will be interesting to see if they can unite the 27-year-old Argentine international with his compatriot and national team captain Lionel Messi at Camp Nou in the coming weeks.
