Barcelona transfer update: Latest on Memphis Depay, Salah, Bellerin

Borussia Dortmund identify Lyon's Memphis Depay as Jadon Sancho alternative

Depay available for cheaper fee

Barcelona could reportedly sign long time target Memphis Depay for as cheap as £4.5m, with Lyon dropping the asking price.

It comes as a huge boost for the Catalans who are said to be financially hit to spend big in the next transfer window.

Depay remains a priority for the Catalans in January after missing out in the summer transfer window.

The Dutch ace has been in fine form for Les Gones this season while his contract expires next summer.

Salah to Barca?

Mohamed Salah‘s links to Barcelona have intensified following his statement regarding the willingness to join Catalans or their arch-rivals Real Madrid in future.

Following the comments, Salah’s former Egyptian national teammate Mohamed Aboutrika has weighed in on his thoughts, stating that Salah is unhappy at Liverpool and could soon force out a move.

‘I know that Salah is not happy in Liverpool, he told me the reasons why he is not happy but they are secrets and I cannot talk about it in public.

‘One of the reasons that made Salah angry was that he was not the captain against Midtjylland.’

If Salah was a player at Real Madrid or Barcelona, and playing at the same level as Liverpool, he would’ve won the Ballon d’Or, and it is normal for a Spanish newspaper to ask Salah about Real Madrid and Barcelona.’

‘In my opinion, Liverpool are considering selling Salah for economic purposes.

Hector Bellerin a top target for Laporta

Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin is reportedly a top target for Barcelona’s presidential candidate Joan Laporta, who is willing to make a £22m bid for the transfer.

Laporta, one of the favourites for the president job, wants Bellerin to return to his former boyhood club Barca.

The 25-year-old moved to Emirates Stadium in 2011 and made his first-team debut with the Gunners in 2013. He has since been ever-present for the Gunners bar the last two seasons, where he was absent due to severe injury.
