PSG see no progress in contract talks with Mbappe

PSG star Kylian Mbappe has his contract expire at the end of this season.

According to a new report from ESPN, Les Parisiens have seen no progress in renewal talks with the 22-year-old and are at risk of losing him for free next summer.

Mbappe has been subject to interest from Real Madrid, who attempted to sign him last summer.

Despite the Spanish giants’ best efforts, Paris Saint-Germain insisted that Mbappe was not for sale.

The World Cup winner also later revealed that he would have only played for Real Madrid if he had left Parc Des Princes.

Mbappe has continued his stellar form this season, racking up 7 goals and 7 assists in Ligue 1.

Furthermore, Mbappe turns out to be head and shoulders above Neymar and Lionel Messi.

As things stand, Mbappe can hold talks with clubs outside France in January to negotiate a transfer.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has had his say on Mbappe and Erling Haaland’s transfer rumours

The Italian manager has revealed that Los Blancos president Florentino Perez has big plans for next season but refused to talk about Mbappe and Haaland.

Ancelotti said (h/t The Daily Express): “Let’s talk about it [Mbappe and Haaland] later. Everything remains the same here, except the coaches.

“Journalists, physios, warehouse workers are always the same, and so is the vision of the club. In one year, at the end of December 2022, we’ll have a new stadium and Florentino has serious intentions for July.”

It was reported earlier that Mbappe is not interested in playing under the former Everton manager.
