Real Madrid 1-2 Alaves: Real crash to a surprise defeat

Isco-Real Madrid

Real Madrid slipped to a 2-1 defeat against Deportivo Alaves in the La Liga earlier tonight.

Perez gave the away side their lead on the 5th minute with a penalty and Alaves doubled their advantage early on in the second half through Joselu.

The home side were struggling to get back into the game and they scored their first goal on the 86th minute through Casemiro.

Real Madrid managed to win the Spanish League title last seasons but they have made a poor start to the competition this year.

It will be interesting to see if they can improve drastically and defend the League title this season.

Today’s defeat leaves Real Madrid 4th in the League table with 17 points from 10 matches and they will have to improve a lot in order to defend their domestic crown.

Meanwhile Deportivo Alaves have 13 points from 11 matches and they will have to work hard in order to finish in the top half of the table.

Real Madrid were favourites going into the game and the fans will be thoroughly disappointed with the outcome. Zinedine Zidane’s side are expected to win contests like this and it will be interesting to see whether Real Madrid can bounce back with a win in their next game.

Los Blancos have been poor in the Champions League this season as well and they will be under immense pressure to fight back this season.
