Raphael Varane eyeing summer exit

Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane is reportedly eyeing an exit this summer as the Frenchman seeks a new challenge.

The French World Cup winner has been a mainstay for Los Blancos since joining them in 2015, making more than 350 appearances.

Varane hasn’t been at his best this season after being at fault on many occasions.

Madrid would be also forced to cash in on the 28-year-old, with his contract expiring in 2022.

Odegaard set for Arsenal loan

After reports emerged that Martin Odegaard requested an exit from Santiago Bernabeu due to lack of game time, Arsenal have reached an agreement for the Norwegian’s loan move.

It was between Real Sociedad and the Gunners for the loan signing of the 20-year-old, with the latter one winning the transfer race now.

It is also added that Arsenal would pay a loan fee of £2.5m in addition to Odegaard’s salary.

Odegaard returned to Bernabeu in the summer after a productive loan spell at Sociedad but has since failed to make a similar impact under Zidane.

Benzema joins pichichi race after Alaves heroics

Karim Benzema is back into the scoring charts after an excellent display in 4-1 win over Alaves, where he scored a double.

It has now made him fourth joint top scorer in La Liga with 10 goals.

Madrid are currently second in the league table, trailing rivals Atletico Madrid by ten points.
