Paris Saint-Germain moved ahead of Lyon and closed the gap with leaders Lille after thrashing bottom dwellers Dijon

PSG bounced back from the defeat against Monaco after thrashing Dijon 4 – 0 away and have now moved to second place in the table.

After suffering a shock defeat against Niko Kovac’s side last week, Mauricio Pochettino appeared to be desperate for a victory to get back in the title race.

Dijon, who are the bottom-placed club, failed to withstand the overwhelming attack of PSG, especially the duo Kylian Mbappe and Moise Kean.

Kean put the visitors ahead inside six minutes to carry on his fine form with Les Parisiens. The Italian striker, who is currently on loan from Everton, has racked up a total of 11 goaps and continues to be Pochettino’s trump card in the attack in the absence of Neymar. PSG have to make a big decision over Kean’s future, with Ancelotti said to be planning big for him if he returns to Goodison Park.

Mbappe doubled the lead around the half-hour mark from the penalty spot before he hit his second for the night in the second half. The 21-year-old has been in scintillating form of late, first up scoring a hat-trick against Barcelona and now a double against the bottom dwellers.

Danilo Pereira wrapped up the game in the 82nd minute, scoring the fourth goal of the night.

It was a complete performance from the Ligue 1 champions and now they move ahead of Lyon to the second place in the table.
