Kadewere’s first-half strike made the difference as PSG crumbled to a narrow defeat at home against Lyon.

PSG succumbed to 1-0 narrow defeat against Lyon after Tino Kadewere scored the only goal of the game.

Les Parisiens’ fluctuating season in Ligue 1 albeit leading the table for a while has handed them another defeat.

The home side entered fresh from their midweek Champions League win against Istanbul Basaksehir, where both Neymar and Mbappe wreaked havoc for the opponents.

However, it was quite an off day for the duo today especially for the Brazilian, who suffered a horror ankle injury following which he was stretchered off the pitch. Thiago Mendes was the guilty party as he saw a red card for the tackle.

Tino Kadewere’s only goal in the first half made the difference as Lyon leapfrogged the defending Ligue 1 champions to the second position in the table.

The goal also resulted from an error that occurred during PSG’s build-up from the defence.

Besides the defeat, the worrying part will be about Neymar’s injury as the Brazilian grumbled in pain before he got taken off the field.

The 28-year-old was excellent in the midweek clash against Istanbul, netting an eye-catching hat-trick to send PSG to qualifiers.

Tuchel has been placed under scrutiny once again after overseeing the French Giants’ fourth defeat of the season.

PSG will next face Lorient before their crunch clash against LOSC Lille this weekend.
