Liverpool linked with Valencia winger Ferran Torres

The Valencia winger is said to have agreed over a £37m to join the Sky Blues

Manchester City are reportedly set to announce the signing of Ferran Torres on Tuesday, which will mark their first transfer of the summer.

As per reports, the Valencia winger will move to the Etihad after agreeing to a five-year deal worth £37m, while City are set to pay an initial fee of around £20m.

The 20-year-old has been cited as an out-and-out replacement for Leroy Sane, who recently severed ties with the Cityzens and joined Bayern Munich.

Torres was one of the hottest prospects in the 2019/20 La Liga season, having produced a string of impressive displays. He also drew interest from top clubs like Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, only to be snapped up by Man City in the end.

Pep Guardiola was in desperate need to replace the German winger Sane before reaching an agreement with Torres.

The Spaniard is one of the best young wingers in Europe and known for his creativity, dribbling as well as shooting skills.

City are also said to have reached an agreement with Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake over a £41m transfer, with the Cherries accepting the offer. The Dutch centre-back has been sought to reinforce the back-line.

Man City will host Real Madrid in the second leg of the round of 16 fixture at Etihad with an aggregate score 2-1..
