Manchester United and Arsenal are keen on signing the Gent forward Jonathan David.

The 20-year-old has been in red hot form for Gent and he has caught the attention of the big clubs with his displays this season.

He has 23 goals and 10 assists to his name so far and he could prove to be a quality signing for Manchester United and Arsenal.

David would be a solid long term investment for both clubs.

That said, he is good enough to make a difference next season as well.

Apparently, both clubs have contacted the player’s agent Nick Mavromaras.

Arsenal have Lacazette and Aubameyang as their strikers and it will be interesting to see if the Frenchman decides to move on this summer.

If he does, David could come in as a replacement.

Lacazette has been linked with an exit this year.

Meanwhile, Manchester United could use another young forward as well. Rashford is their only reliable striker with Greenwood still quite young.

Martial seems more effective when he is playing from the left. David would add depth and quality to Solskjaer’s attack.

The player is considering a move away from Gent as well.

‘I want to become one of the best strikers in the world. That’s my goal,’ David told The Guardian.

‘The Premier League is the best in the world and most competitive so obviously that is somewhere I would love to play in the future.’
