Tottenham cruised to a 4-1 win over Wycombe Wanderers in the FA Cup earlier tonight.

The Premier League side were struggling to get past Wycombe up until the 85th minute but late substitutions from Jose Mourinho helped turn the game on its head.

Fred Onyedinma put the home side ahead on the 25th minute at Tottenham got back into the game at the stroke of half time through Gareth Bale.

However Spurs struggled to breakdown the Championship side after that and they had to wait until the 86th minute for Harry winks to put them ahead.

Substitute Tanguy Ndombele turned on the style after coming on as a substitute and scored the third goal of the game on the 87th minute and then wrapped up the scoring on the 93rdminute.

The midfielder was rested for the game with the upcoming Premier League fixtures in mind but Mourinho had to bring on the Frenchman to change the game when his side struggled to breakdown the opposition.

Ndombele added creativity, flair and goals to the side after coming on and his substitute just goes to show the kind of options Mourinho has at his disposal this season.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can beat Liverpool in their next Premier League game and establish themselves as title contenders once again.

Their defeat to Liverpool earlier in the season had almost derailed their season but Spurs have recovered since then and they will be hoping to get back into the race soon.

Ndombele wasn’t the only substitution that helped change the game for Tottenham and Jose Mourinho was able to bring on Harry Kane in place of the ineffective Carlos Vinicius and Son Heung-Min was brought on as well.
