Arsenal striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang is all set to end the speculation over his future by signing a new three year deal with the club.

According to reports, the 31-year-old striker will become the clubs highest-paid player once the deal is finalised.

Aubameyang has been a key player for Arsenal ever since his move to London and keeping him at the club was a top priority for the Gunners heading into this summer.

The 31-year-old striker scored 29 goals in all competitions last season and he has now finished as the club’s top goalscorer in each of his last two seasons.

Aubameyang had less than 12 months remaining on the contract he signed in January 2018 and the Gunners will be delighted to have secured an agreement with him now.

Arsenal will be hoping to get back into the Champions League next season and they will need  Aubameyang in top form in order to achieve their goals.

According to reports, the club had been in negotiations with the player for months and the intervention of Mikel Arteta was crucial to the agreement. The Arsenal manager has a good relationship with Aubameyang and the player’s father was also key to getting the deal over the line.

The Gabon international has already led Arsenal to an FA Cup win and a Community Shield win and he will be hoping to win more silverware with the Londoners next season.
