Arsenal crashed to a 2-1 defeat against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League earlier tonight.

Pedro Neto scored the opening goal of the game for the away side but Arsenal managed to get back into the game immediately after through Gabriel Magalhaes.

The match was stopped for ten minutes as David Luiz and Raul Jimenez collided and fell on the ground. As per protocol of head injury, they were treated on the field. Though Luiz continued till first half but Jimenez could not continue further.

Daniel Podence put the away side ahead once again after a fantastic bit of skill in the box.

After an eventful first half which  produced all three goals, Wolverhampton Wanderers did well to tighten up at the back and hold on to their advantage by keeping a clean sheet in the second half.

Arsenal had a couple of chances to score the equaliser but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang failed to find the net.

The win tonight takes Wolverhampton Wanderers up to 6th in the Premier League table with 17 points and they’re now just four points adrift of the League leaders Tottenham.

As for Arsenal, they have dropped down to the 14th in the Premier League table after losing three home League games in a row.

Mikel Arteta will be under enormous pressure to turn it around at the Emirates and it will be interesting to see if Arsenal can bounce back strongly in their next game.

The Gunners will travel to Tottenham next week and it will be a massive challenge for them. Jose Mourinho’s team are in red hot form right now and Arsenal cannot afford to perform the way they did tonight.
