Arsenal newcomers Willian and Gabriel Magalhaes stood out in their Premier League debut against Fulham.

Gabriel was shaky at the start as he almost made a howler in the opening minutes, which could have put Fulham ahead.

However, the Brazilian defender grew stronger as the game progressed, firing in the second goal of the game right after the break.

The 22-year-old, who was bought after a great competition with top clubs, was immaculate with his passing as he averaged more than 100 passes in the game with a success percentage over 90. Defensively, he was strong, and Fulham hardly got past him.

Meanwhile, Willian racked up two assists to his name in what turned out to be an excellent display from him.

The 32-year-old provided as many as three key passes, all led to Arsenal’s goals. His cross-field ball to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s goal took the cake of all the assists.

Willian was also happy to track back and help his side in their defensive third. The former Chelsea star has joined the Gunners on a three-year deal and is already proving to be productive.

Prior to the game, Mikel Arteta stated that Willian would be key to the Gunners and the Brazilian has lived up to his expectations.

Arteta would be a happy man after ensuring three points in the league opener followed by the Community Shield win against Liverpool.
