Arsenal ready to sacrifice trio in order to land Houssem Aouar

Mikel Arteta Arsenal Manager

Arsenal have been linked with a move for the Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar this summer and it seems that they are willing to sell some of their players in order to fund the move.

The Lyon star is a world class talent who could improve them a lot. It will be interesting to see if the Gunners can agree on a fee with the French club now.

According to reports, Arteta could look to cash in on three players before the window closes. Matteo Guendouzi, Sead Kolasinac and Lucas Torreira are all expected to depart.

Torreira is certainly an upgrade on the likes of Guendouzi and it would be a superb bit of business if Arsenal can use players like him to fund the move for the Lyon star.

Aouar is likely to cost around €50m as per reports and Arsenal have already had a bid rejected for him. With the transfer window closing in less than a week, they must look to hurry and pay the asking price for the player.

Lyon chief Aulas is a tough negotiator and if Arsenal do not agree to his demands soon, the French club could refuse to sell the player.

Lyon will need time to sign a quality replacement and they will not want to linger the sale unnecessarily.

Arsenal have taken massive strides forward under Arteta and they will be hoping to get back into the Champions league now. A signing like Aouar could transform them completely.
