Chelsea finally completed Kai Havertz deal for €100m

Bayer 3-1 Cologne Havertz put Leverkusen in top four

Chelsea have completed the deal to sign Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen.

The German international has been officially confirmed as a Chelsea player and he has signed a long term contract at the club. 

It is believed that the overall package to bring Havertz to Stamford Bridge is around 100 million euros.

It will be interesting to see how the attacking midfielder performs in the Premier League now.

The German youngster is a world class talent and he could develop into a key player for Chelsea next season.

Frank Lampard has improved his attack considerably this summer with the signings of Ziyech, Werner, Havertz.

Chelsea will be expected to challenge for the Premier League title next season and it will be interesting to see if they can deliver on the pitch now.

Havertz usually plays in a similar role to that of Hakim Ziyech and it will be interesting to see how Frank Lampard accommodates both players into his starting line up next season. 

Speaking to the media after his move, Havertz said: ‘I am very happy and proud to be here, For me it is a dream come true to play in a big club like Chelsea and I can’t wait to meet all the players and the trainers. Yeah, I am very happy to be here!’.
