Chelsea mount remarkable comeback in 3-3 draw vs West Brom

Chelsea were held to a 3-3 draw against West Brom in the Premier League earlier today at The Hawthorns at WWK Arena.

The Blues did well to fight back from 3-0 down to secure a point in the end.

The newly promoted Premier League side raced to a 2-0 lead thanks to a brace from Robinson within the first 25 minutes. Barkley made it 3-0 to the hosts two minutes later.

Chelsea were headed for an embarrassing defeat away from home but the likes of Mason Mount helped them get back into the game and secure a point eventually.

The Chelsea midfielder scored the first goal of the game for Chelsea on the 55th minute and the Blues managed to pile on further pressure on West Brom after that.

Hudson-Odoi scored Chelsea’s second goal 15 minutes later and Tammy Abraham wrapped up a thrilling encounter with an equaliser deep into injury time.

Chelsea have been quite poor in the League so far they will have to improve a lot if they want to challenge for the top honours.

The Blues have spent a lot of money on quality attackers this summer but they have been shambolic at the back so far. Lampard will be demanding a far better performance from his back four in the next game.

Chelsea picked up a narrow win over Brighton in their opening game and then crashed to a defeat against Liverpool at home. They are good enough to beat West Brom and the draw here will have left the fans disappointed.

Chelsea have signed the likes of Ben Chilwell and Thiago Silva to improve their defensive performances and it will be interesting to see if the duo can help transform them at the back.

As for West Brom, they were 3-0 up in the game and they will be disappointed to have dropped two points in the end. The newly promoted side were very close to securing a thrilling win over the Premier League Giants today and they will have to tighten up at the back in order to grind out results.
