Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is planning to back new manager Thomas Tuchel with a massive transfer Kitty at the end of this season.

Apparently, Tuchel will be handed £260 million regardless of whether the Blues manage to finish in the top four or not.

The German manager replaced Frank Lampard midway through the season after a dismal run of results and he has managed to get the Blues back on track.

Chelsea picked up a stunning when over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League last night and the Blues have conceded just twice in their last eight matches under Thomas Tuchel.

The Chelsea owner backed Frank Lampard heavily last summer but the former Chelsea midfielder failed to get the best out of his key signings.

It will be interesting to see which positions Thomas Tuchel decides to strengthen at the end of the season.

The Blues are in desperate need of defensive reinforcements and they could use a quality #9 as well.

They have been linked with the Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland in the recent months.

Chelsea will be hoping to challenge the likes of Manchester City for the Premier League title next season and there is no doubt that Tuchel will need to invest in quality players in order to catch up with Pep Guardiola’s side.

That said, Lampard was under immense pressure to deliver after a massive investment during the summer transfer window and Thomas Tuchel will be under similar pressure as well.

The German manager will have to deliver trophies once he is backed in the transfer market.
