Chelsea are determined to sign the Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku this summer.

There have been reports that the Italian champions are not keen on selling the 28-year-old Belgian international this summer, and the player is not angling for a move either.

However, the Blues are keen on improving their striking department, and they have identified the Belgian as a top target.

Earlier this week, the Blues had an offer of around €100 million along with Marcos Alonso turned down for the striker, but they are now prepared to return with an improved offer of about €120-130 million.

Furthermore, the Premier League side are set to offer Lukaku a bumper contract worth around €12 million per season.

The Belgian has developed into one of the best strikers in the world, and he managed to score 30 goals across all competitions last season.

Lukaku was exceptional for his country in the European Championships as well, and there is no doubt that he would be a massive upgrade on the likes of Timo Werner and Tammy Abraham next season.

During his teenage years, Chelsea brought the Belgian into the Premier League, but Lukaku left the club after failing to hold down a regular starting berth at Stamford Bridge.

The player will probably feel that he has unfinished business at the London club, and it will be interesting to see if all parties can conclude an agreement regarding a summer transfer in the coming days.
