Thomas Tuchel-PSG-Chelsea

Tuchel confirmed as Chelsea Manager

Thomas Tuchel has been confirmed as the new manager of Chelsea Football Club.

Frank Lampard was sacked earlier in the week after failing to get the best out of his key signings.

Chelsea are currently vying for a place in the top half after a mediocre start to the season and it will be interesting to see if Thomas Tuchel can help them get back into the top four.

Roman Abramovich spent a lot of money during the summer transfer window and he would have expected Chelsea to challenge for the Premier League title this season.

Delcan Rice interest to cool down

Meanwhile the departure of Frank Lampard is set to impact Chelsea’s interest in Declan Rice.

According to reports, the Blues will cool their interest in the West Ham United midfielder.

The former Chelsea player was heavily linked with a return to Stamford Bridge when Lampard was in charge but the club hierarchy are not keen on bringing him back.

Rudiger assurances

Furthermore defender Antonio Rudiger has been provided with assurances that he will get a chance to prove himself under Thomas tuchel.

The German international had fallen down the pecking order under Frank Lampard and he was expected to leave the club soon.

It will be interesting to see if he can resurrect his Chelsea career in the coming weeks.

Thomas Tuchel wanted to sign the player when he was managing Paris Saint Germain and therefore it is no surprise that he’s willing to give Rudiger a chance to salvage his career at Stamford Bridge.

Gilmour set to leave on loan

Meanwhile midfielder Billy Gilmour is set to leave the club on loan.

The 19-year-old needs to play regular first-team football in order to continue his development and Thomas tuchel will allow the player to leave this month.

Apparently, the likes of Aston Villa, West Brom and Wolves are keen on signing the talented youngster.
