Former Manchester United legend enlists the top five strikers of the Premier League.

Former Manchester United forward Andrew Cole has enlisted his choice of top five Premier League strikers.

Cole, who himself is regarded as one of best strikers to grace the Premier League, is the third-highest scorer of the English top flight of all time, trailing Alan Shearer and Wayne Rooney.

Obviously, both Shearer and Rooney have made it to Cole’s list alongside Thierry Henry, Ruud Van Nistelrooy and Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero, with the latter being only the active footballer.

Cole said, [Sergio] Aguero, he would definitely be in there.

Rooney would be in there, [Ruud] Van Nistelrooy would have a shout…’

The former English international had productive spells with both Man Utd and Newcastle United however he refused to include his name in the strikers’ list.

Cold added, ‘The perception everyone has of me is arrogant… if I was to put myself in the top five, everyone would be telling me how arrogant I am. ‘Everyone wants to talk about what I’ve done in my career, the goals I’ve scored, but no one wants to give me the credit for doing it. I would never put myself in that top five.’

It is good to see a legend like Cole recognising Aguero, who currently sits a place behind the English striker in the all-time top scorer’s list.

Furthermore, the Argentine ace has better goals per game ratio than most of the strikers.
