Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace will look to get back to winning ways when they welcome Liverpool to Selhurst Park this Sunday.

Patrick Vieira’s men were held to a 1-1 away draw at Brighton, last time out. Conor Gallagher opened the scoring for Palace in the second half before Joachim Andersen scored an own goal late in the game to ensure that the points were shared.

With that result, Palace come into this tie sitting in 11th place. They are targeting a top-half finish for the first time since the 2014/15 season and will be desperate to win this game to keep their chances of achieving that aim.

They have lost four of their last eight matches in the Premier League. But their home form remains formidable as they have won 17 of their 24 points this season at home.

However, they lost in their last outing here and will look to avoid back-to-back home PL defeats for the first time under manager Patrick Vieira. But a poor home record against Liverpool will be a source of serious concern for Patrick Vieira. The hosts have lost their last seven home H2Hs, including last season’s 7-0 drubbing in this fixture – the only time Palace have conceded seven goals in a home match in their 116-year history.

Liverpool

Liverpool booked their place in the Carabao Cup final on Thursday as they defeated Arsenal in the second leg of their semifinal round.

Two goals from Diogo Jota gave the Reds the won and ensured that Jürgen Klopp’s men meet Chelsea in the final scheduled for February 27th.

The win also extended Liverpool’s unbeaten run to five games (W3, D2) and was the third clean sheet they were keeping in a row.

Jurgen Klopp’s men beat Brentford in their last PL outing to take their points tally to 45 points for the season, eleven behind Man City. A win in this game is a priority for them, as they remain in pursuit of the Cityzens. And given their record in this fixture, they will fancy their chances of getting maximum points on this occasion.

Possible Liverpool starting line-ups

Alisson Becker; Joel Matip, Virgil van Dijk, Andy Robertson; Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, Curtis Jones; Takumi Minamino, Diogo Jota, Roberto Firmino.
