Declan Rice rejects contract offers
West Ham midfielder Declan Rice, one of the highly talented players in the Premier League, has reportedly declined two contract offers, sparking speculations about his future.
Chelsea and Manchester United have shown long-time interest in the Three Lions midfielder, and now they have received a massive boost in his pursuit.
With Rice growing in stature, the decision to snub offers from the Hammers doesn’t come as a surprise as he would be aiming to play in the Champions League for a top club.
David Moyes has been persistent in keeping the 22-year-old at London Stadium, with his contract running for three more years.
However, Chelsea and Man Utd might have to shell out a fee of around 100m pounds to prise him away from West Ham.
Solskjaer could block Lingard’s permanent transfer
Everybody witnessed the classic Jesse Lingard week in week out after he completed his loan move from Manchester United to West Ham.
Perhaps, the English attacking midfielder proved to be effective for the Hammers, who managed to secure a place in the Europa League.
Hammers are keen on securing a permanent transfer for the 28-year-old. However, the Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly wants him to commit to a new deal at Old Trafford.
Lingard secured his loan move after he got deprived of game time under Solskjaer. He is likely to suffer a similar fate if he returns to United next season.
The Norwegian manager will be making a huge mistake if he deprives of Lingard game-time. Lingard has to take a positive boost from his West Ham stint, and hopefully, he will be able to continue his form in the coming seasons.
