Everton Transfer Update: Fikayo Tomori, Geronimo Rulli

Carlo Ancelotti - Everton Manager

Everton are closing in on a deal to sign the Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori.

The defender needs to play regularly at this stage of his career and Chelsea will not be able to provide him with that platform next season.

A move to Everton will allow him to play more often and he could develop his game under the management of a world class manager like Carlo Ancelotti.

Everton have already improved their midfield options with the signing of James Rodriguez, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Allan and now they’re looking to improve their defensive options before the window closes.

Tomori is a talented defender and he could prove to be a really useful option for Ancelotti next year. he will add depth and quality to Everton’s defence.

Furthermore the Toffees are thought to be looking at the Real Sociedad keeper Geronimo Rulli as well.

The former Manchester City player has done well in Spain and he could be the ideal replacement for Jordan Pickford.

The English keeper has made countless errors over the last few seasons and Ancelotti needs to bring in an alternative if he wants his side to challenge for European football next season.

Geronimo Rulli has the talent to succeed in England and he should prove to be a wise investment for the Merseyside giants. But Geronimo Rulli has joined Spanish club Villarreal from Real Sociedad on a four year deal for a reported €5 million.

It will be interesting to see if Everton can get Fikayo Tomori over the line before the transfer window closes next month.
