Fulham 2-3 Everton: Calvert-Lewin double guides Everton to an impressive 3-2 win

Everton picked up a thrilling 3-2 win over Fulham in the Premier League earlier today.

At one point it seemed like the away side were running away with the game but Fulham did well to come back into the game in the second half.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin gave the visitors their lead one minute into the game. Cordova-Reid got the Londoners back into the game after 15 minutes but Calvert-Lewin scored his second of the game to put Everton ahead once again.

Summer signing Abdoulaye Doucoure scored on the 35th minute to double Everton’s advantage. 

On-loan Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek scored in the 70th minute to give Fulham a glimmer of hope but the Toffees managed to hold onto the advantage and secure all three points.

Carlo Ancelotti will be delighted with his team’s performance here and Everton are now back to winning ways after their recent dip in form following an impressive start to the Premier League season.

Frenchman Lucas Digne produced a quality display for Everton and he created two first-half goals for the visitors.

Meanwhile, Fulham had the chance to take something from the game but Ivan Cavaleiro missed a penalty for the hosts. It was fulham’s third successive failed spot-kick this season.

The win takes Everton up to 6th place in the Premier League and they have now managed to end a run of three successive defeats.

The London club remain 17th in the Premier League table with just four points from nine matches they will have to increase survive relegation this season.
