Has Paul Pogba played his last match for Manchester United?

Pogba, who has been recovering from injury since last summer, has not played for United since September 30 because of a foot injury. He was expected back in action this week for Carabao Cup, but a mystery illness has further delayed his comeback.

Pogba was permitted to attend his brother’s wedding in France last week, while he continued his rehabilitation. But he missed his comeback match against Colchester in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.

But his comeback was delayed due to mysterious illness, and now team management or manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was unable to confirm a return date for United’s club record £89million signing. Ole’s predecessor Jose Mourinho, who had very public conflict with Paul Pogba among others, publicly termed his a virus in the team, and his recent interview and press conference show he has not yet forgotten his days as red manager.

Some of United fans and teammates are in doubt despite boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s insistence he will soon be back in action, that he will be seen in red once again. Pogba, himself, is understood to still be resolved to force his way out of United. Ideally, the next available transfer window in January, with Real Madrid and Juventus are leading the race to sign him.

United are still adamant that they will not allow French midfielder to leave in January, with Solskjaer had a firm belief, Pogba is required for United to dream big. But United with the trio (Rashford, Martial and James) in front, McTominay, and Fred in the middle are combining superbly. Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, and Leicester all being in their list of casualties, United might have a different approach for Paul Pogba now.
