Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette could be heading to Atletico Madrid this summer once Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang signs a new deal.

As per reports, Lacazette has grown weary after not finding a starting place under Mikel Arteta. The Gunners value the former Lyon man around 30 million pounds.

Meanwhile, Aubameyang has stolen the spotlight after inspiring the Gunners to the FA Cup title. The Gabonese striker scored in both the semi-finals and the finals while ending up as the second joint top goal scorer in the Premier League with 22 goals.

As a result, The North Londoners have decided to award the former Borussia Dortmund star with a new contract to ward off interest from FC Barcelona.

Lacazette has struggled to make an impact this season and could be forced to leave the Emirates stadium this summer.

Atletico Madrid are the only potential suitors for the 28-year-old, and they had previously attempted to sign him before he opted to join Arsenal.

Arsenal are also understood to be keeping tabs on the Brazilian winger Willian, who has turned down a new deal from Chelsea.

Lacazette’s chances at Arsenal next season looks bleak although he has been good few and far between.

The former Lyon man’s contract runs until 2022 and Arsenal look to have no intentions in extending his stay at the Emirates stadium.

Atletico are also in the lookout for attacking reinforcements, and they can benefit from the signing of Lacazette.
