Leeds United in talks to sign £27m-rated Serie A midfielder Rodrigo de Paul

The Whites are interested in signing Udinese midfielder.

Leeds United have identified Udinese midfielder Rodrigo de Paul as their next transfer target.

According to reports, Leeds are looking to bring the Argentine midfielder to the Elland Road next season as Marcelo Bielsa aims to join hands with his compatriot.

Leeds have been reportedly told to fork out £31m for the services of De paul, who was outstanding for Udinese last season.

The 26-year-old has come into foray after impressing in the Serie A for the past two seasons. He has also been an integral part of Argentina national team ever since Lionel Scaloni took charge.

De Paul registered seven goals and six assists in Serie A last season, scoring against the likes of Roma and Napoli.

His impressive displays have also placed him on the transfer radar of Serie A heavyweights like Juventus and Inter Milan.

Leeds have been making a wave of late after confirming the signing of Spanish striker Rodrigo Moreno, preceded by the signing of Freiburg defender Robin Koch.

The Whites broke the bank for the arrival of Rodrigo, who has now become the club’s record signing.

Bielsa is also in the look-out for reinforcements in various sections of the field as the Argentine manager prepares his side in the best possible way for the Premier League.

De Paul’s addition would reinforce their midfield, and creativity can overflow as he was one of the best creative players in Italy last season.
