The Foxes are off to a flying start in the Premier League.

Leicester City have started the Premier League campaign in the best possible way after defeating newly promoted West Brom.

The Foxes struggled to make the breakthrough in the opening half but thanks to Timothy Castagne, who scored the opener soon after the break.

James Vardy piled on the pain of West Brom as he scored back to back penalties to put the game to the bed. The English striker had a great season last term and is looking to translate this time as well.

Castagne, who was signed from Atalanta, had a great debut after putting an impressive display. Ayoze Perez and Harvey Barnes had their chances spilled in the first half.

For the Baggies, they started the game well but dwindled in the second half after Leicester’s opening goal. West Brom managed only one shot on target in the second half.

The pressure was certainly on for the Foxes after slipping up their chance in the top four last season. Despite the absence of James Maddison and Ben Chilwell, who recently made his switch to Chelsea, Leicester showed no signs of stopping.

Brendan Rodgers has stated earlier that the Foxes’ squad is not big and insisted the need for new signings.

The former Celtic manager still helped his side get off to a winning start.

Leicester will face Burnley in their next fixture.
