Liverpool were held to a goalless draw against Manchester United in the Premier League earlier tonight.

Brazilian international Alisson produced a stunning display for Liverpool to deny Manchester United an impressive away win.

The Reds were quite dominant in the first half and they managed carve out opportunities for the likes of Andy Robertson and Roberto Firmino but David De Gea managed to keep the home side at bay.

The away side came close to breaking the deadlock when Bruno Fernandes’ free kick was steered wide of the Liverpool goal.

Liverpool managed to create opportunities in the second half as well but Manchester United were well organised at the back and the likes of Harry Maguire denied Roberto Firmino a tap in.

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson was arguably the best player on the pitch tonight and he denied the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba from close range in the second half as well

The draw tonight leaves Manchester United on 37 points they are now two points clear of second placed Leicester City.

Manchester United are unbeaten in 12 games they will be hoping to pull further clear at the top of the table and win the title this season.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are three points behind Manchester United in the 3rd place and they will have to improve a lot in order to defend their Premier League crown this season.
