Liverpool Transfer: Latest on Raphinha interest and Harvey Elliott compensation

Raphinha-Leeds United

Liverpool are thought to be interested in signing the Leeds United winger Raphinha at the end of the season.

The Brazilian joined the Premier League club from Rennes at the start of the season and he has been outstanding for Marcelo Bielsa’s team.

He has added pace and flair to the Leeds United attack and Liverpool could certainly use someone like him.

Jurgen Klopp needs to add more depth to his attack and Raphinha would be a superb addition just like Diogo Jota.

The Brazilian cost around £17 million in the summer and Leeds are likely to demand double of that if they are forced to sell him at the end of the season.

It will be interesting to see if Liverpool can convince Leeds to sell the player to them after just one season at Elland Road.

Harvey Elliott compensation

Meanwhile the Reds have been ordered to pay a £4 million compensation to Fulham for Harvey Elliott.

The youngster joined the ribs on a free transfer and as per the rules; the reigning Premier League champions will have to pay a development fee to the London club.

Initially, Fulham were asking for a fee of around £10 million for Harvey Elliott but the tribunal decided that as compensation of £4 million would be reasonable.

Elliot is a massive talent and he is currently on loan at Blackburn Rovers in the championship. The young attacking midfielder has been one of the best players at the championship club and he has a big future ahead of him.

There is no doubt that he could develop into a quality first-team player for Liverpool in the coming years and therefore a fee of around £4 million should not be an issue for the Reds.

It could turn out to be a major bargain for the Premier League Giants in future if Elliott manages to fulfil his immense potential.
