Liverpool Update: Mohamed Salah drops bombshell regarding future, Bissouma latest

Mohamed Salah-Liverpool

Mohamed Salah

Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah has revealed that he could be open to joining Barcelona at the end of the season.

Speaking to the media before Liverpool’s game against Crystal Palace, the Egyptian forward revealed that Real Madrid and Barcelona are two of the top clubs in world football and anything can happen in future.

It will be interesting to see if Liverpool can hold onto their top scorer beyond this summer after his latest comments.

It could be that the player is angling for a pay rise and this is a common tactic used to force clubs into offering new deals.

It remains to be seen how the situation unfolds in the coming weeks.

Salah said: “I think Madrid and Barcelona are top clubs… We never know what is going to happen in the future, but right now I’m focused on winning the Premier League and the Champions League again with my club.”

Yves Bissouma

Meanwhile, Liverpool are already looking to plan for life without Gini Wijnaldum.

The Dutch international will be a free agent at the end of this season and he has not signed an extension with the Premier League champions yet.

Apparently, Liverpool are looking at the Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma as a potential replacement.

Liverpool are not the only club interested in the Brighton star and Real Madrid are thought to be keeping tabs on Bissouma as well.

A move to either Liverpool or Real Madrid would be a massive step up in the career of Yves Bissouma and he is likely to be tempted if either club comes calling in the summer.

It will be interesting to see where he ends up eventually.
