Man City looking to the future with moves for Haaland and Martinez

Erling Haaland-Borussia Dortmund

Manchester City are already planning for the future and they’re looking to sign a top-class striker at the end of this season.

Sergio Aguero is 32 and he has very few years left at the top. It is understandable why Manchester City want to bring in a quality replacement sooner rather than later.

According to reports, the Premier League side are looking at the Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez and the Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland as potential replacements.

Both players have done exceedingly well for their respective clubs and it will be interesting to see who ends up at Manchester in the coming months.

Martinez and Haaland are different players with different skill sets. The Argentine striker is more of a creative forward who can chip in with goals and creativity. Meanwhile the Norwegian striker is more of a powerful finisher and a traditional number nine.

Manchester City already have Gabriel Jesus at their disposal and the Brazilian is an intelligent player who can play as a creative forward. Therefore a move for the Dortmund star Erling Haaland is probably a better option for the Premier League side.

The Norwegian is a world-class talent who has developed into one of the most lethal finishers in world football right now and he has a massive future ahead of him.

A world-class manager like Pep Guardiola could help him unlock his true potential and take his game to another level.
