Lingard exit

Manchester United attacker Jesse Lingard has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford recently and it appears that Inter Milan are interested in signing him.

The Italian club believe that Lingard could do a job for them in the Italian League and they are prepared to sign him after a glowing assessment from manager Antonio Conte.

Fernandes on Pogba

Meanwhile, Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has heaped praise on his club teammate Paul Pogba and he has revealed that Manchester United need the Frenchman to succeed this season.

The Portuguese international revealed that he has enjoyed a great friendship with Pogba since joining Manchester United.

The French international has been linked with a move away from Manchester United after his agent claimed that his time at the club is over.

It will be interesting to see if Manchester United can convince the World Cup winner to stay at the club beyond this season now.

Fernandes said: “The relationship I have with Paul is good. He speaks Italian and I speak Italian.  When I arrived, he was injured. I saw him recovering and training on the pitch away from us. He was calling me sometimes when I was training and he said, ‘I’m seeing the games, I’m seeing your movement, don’t worry. When I’m fit, I will show you that I can find you. I see you move, you move to the right and to the left, in behind. When I come back, I will show you how I can find you a lot’.”

Injury blow – Pogba, Shaw and Lindelof

On the injury front, Manchester United have been dealt a triple blow.

Paul Pogba, Luke Shaw and Victor Lindelof have picked up injuries and all three players missed the FA Cup third-round win over Watford.

Apparently, Victor Lindelof has a back problem and Luke Shaw is out with a hamstring injury. As for Paul Pogba, the Frenchman has an ankle issue.
