The Borussia Dortmund striker is running high on the wishlist of both Chelsea and Man City.

Chelsea has been credited with a strong interest in Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland. Recent reports stated that they are ready to break the banks for his transfer this summer.

However, According to a new reportManchester City have entered the race for the Norwegian striker and are planning to throw a spanner in the works of the Londoners.

Haaland has become one of the sought-after strikers in Europe after his back to back stellar seasons in the Bundesliga.

However, Dortmund remain keen on holding on to the 20-year-old for next season, with the club’s Sporting director Michael Zorc recently stating that they wouldn’t leave him at any cost.

The City appears to be planning an audacious offer as they think it could change Dortmund’s stance on Haaland.

The Norwegian striker will be available for 68m pounds – the release clause can be triggered next summer – but both the Blues and Man City are not happy with the waiting game.

City are scouring the market for a new striker following the departure of Sergio Aguero, and several names have been made it to their wishlist.

Harry Kane remains their top priority after he publicised his desire to leave Tottenham this summer in search of trophies.

Spurs are reluctant to sell their star striker as new manager Nuno Santo wants the England international to be the leader of his project, but City are ready to spend more than £ 100m.

Elsewhere, Thomas Tuchel, who successfully led the Blues to the Champions League title, wants to strengthen the striker position following Timo Werner’s disappointing season.

There are some high profile names on the radar of both the clubs, but it remains to be seen whether one of them can shock the world by singing Haaland.
