Manchester United and Chelsea share the spoils in a 0-0 draw

Manchester United were held to a 0-0 draw against Chelsea in the Premier League earlier today at Old Trafford.

Both teams will be disappointed to have come away with just a point from the game.

Chelsea will feel that they should have been awarded a penalty for Harry Maguire’s challenge on a Azpilicueta.

The Blues were impressive at the back and the likes of Zouma, Silva and Mendy put on impressive displays for Frank Lampard’s side.

However, they should have done better going forward. With the likes of Werner,  Pulisic and Havertz at their disposal, Chelsea had enough firepower to get past the Manchester United defence.

As for Manchester United, the home side put on a mediocre display and they will be expected to perform a lot better at home.

Manchester United will be hoping to challenge for the title this season and they will have to pick up the three points against their direct rivals at home if they are to challenge at the top end of the table.

Bruno Fernandes was the only impressive performance for Manchester United in the attack and the Red Devils will have to improve a lot in the upcoming matches.

Manchester United had an impressive head to head record against Chelsea heading into the game and they would have fancied the three points today.

In comparison, Chelsea have won just one of their last six matches against Manchester United and they will be relatively pleased with the draw away from home.
